WATSONVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- (NYSE: GVA) announced today the appointment of J. Timothy Romer to its Board of Directors, effective September 8, 2025. With nearly four decades of experience in finance and infrastructure, Mr. Romer brings a wealth of expertise to support Granite鈥檚 strategic growth initiatives.

Mr. Romer鈥檚 distinguished career includes leadership roles at top-tier financial institutions. Mr. Romer spent 30 years in senior roles at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch, leading the Western Region Public Sector and Infrastructure Investment Banking groups, respectively. He later worked as a partner with Foundation Credit, where he was instrumental in launching the firm鈥檚 infrastructure debt strategy focused on investments in essential public infrastructure. He continues to serve on Foundation鈥檚 Infrastructure Opportunities Investment Committee. Mr. Romer also held senior operating roles at two private companies in the software and climate technology sectors, serving as chief executive officer and chief financial officer of one and chief financial officer of the other. He currently serves on the board of the Chargers Impact Fund, which supports community-based initiatives throughout Southern California. Mr. Romer earned his MBA with honors from the Wharton School and holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
